Privacy policy
This policy explains what Better Windows UK collects when you use our enquiry form, how we use it, how we contact you and how to get in touch about your data.
Better Windows UK ("we", "us", "our") operates this website as a comparison and introduction service that matches homeowners with vetted local window installers. This policy was last updated on 11 July 2026.
What we collect
When you complete our enquiry form we collect the details you provide:
- Your name — first and last name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number.
- Your postcode.
- Whether you own your home (so we only match relevant enquiries).
We also automatically collect marketing attribution data so we understand which campaign brought you here. This includes the campaign source, medium, campaign name and search terms (for example UTM values), advertising click identifiers (such as Google and Meta click ids), the page you first landed on, your browser user-agent and your IP address.
How we use your information
- To match you with vetted local installers who can quote for your window upgrade.
- To contact you by phone about the enquiry you made — our calls are directly related to your window upgrade application and to arranging quotes or a home survey.
- To measure and improve our marketing, using the attribution data above.
We rely on your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to and fulfilling your enquiry.
Who we share it with
Qualified enquiries may be passed to a matched, vetted installer so they can contact you and provide a quote. We only share what is needed for that introduction. We do not sell your data for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and to resolve any queries — normally up to 24 months from your last contact with us — after which they are deleted or anonymised. Marketing attribution cookies expire after 90 days (see our cookie policy).
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
How to contact us
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about your data, send us a message using the enquiry form on our homepage and mark it "Data request", or write to our data protection contact at the postal address shown on the site. We will respond within one month.
